1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye

Historic Overview:

A few minor cosmetic changes were introduced to the 1973 Challenger, such as new bumper guards, in order to attend the new safety standards and instead of being fiited with huge and ugly bumpers. The 225 Slant Six engine was not available anymore, leaving the 318 V8 and 340 Magnum V8 as the only engine choices and which both were available with any transmission and even with the Rallye package. However, with the impending happening of the first oil crisis, most buyers prefered to order Challengers with the 318 V8 engine. Sales increased a little in comparison to the previous year, but they wouldn't be enough to keep the Challenger in production for more years.
